Edwardian Cotton Chemise, White, Size: Small Period Edwardian Cotton chemise, orginally intended as a under garment layer. Made of lightweight cotton it's very simple with a panel of fancy netting across the uppder chest. This shoulder straps have been folder and sewn so if you wish for it to sit lower on the chest you could easily release that stitching for an extra inch or so of length there. No closure The woven cotton fabric is soft and lightweight, in excellent condition with a very few minor and tiny spots as shown. One of the side seams needs a few stitches, I can do this repair before I ship it if you like, just please remind me. Here are the flat measurments: armpit to armpit: 18 across the waist area: about 20 hips: about 23 length: 35.5 I am not an expert in this period but certainly appreciate it very much. Simple black silk sheath dress from the 1950s with a VERY cute twist and a Jackie Kennedy vibe. Fitted at the waist with a darling bow and a relaxed ruffled high neck. The bow and the neckline are lined with baby pink. No fabric or band id tags. But almost certainly silk shantung. unlined Center back metal zipper marked size 11, but disregard that number! vintage sizes have nothing to do with modern sizes. This dress fits my size 4 mannequin well. Pls use flat measurements below: Armpit to Armpit: 19.5 Waist: 13.25 Hips: 19.5 Overall Length: 37 - it is unlined and the hem is deep. You can easily change the hem to make it shorter BUT!! the fabric turned under for the current hem has some significant discoloration due to being stored on a hanger and inside out for many years before I bought it.
