Simple black silk sheath dress from the 1950s with a VERY cute twist and a Jackie Kennedy vibe. Fitted at the waist with a darling bow and a relaxed ruffled high neck. The bow and the neckline are lined with baby pink. No fabric or band id tags. But almost certainly silk shantung. unlined Center back metal zipper marked size 11, but disregard that number! vintage sizes have nothing to do with modern sizes. This dress fits my size 4 mannequin well. Pls use flat measurements below: Armpit to Armpit: 19.5 Waist: 13.25 Hips: 19.5 Overall Length: 37 - it is unlined and the hem is deep. You can easily change the hem to make it shorter BUT!! the fabric turned under for the current hem has some significant discoloration due to being stored on a hanger and inside out for many years before I bought it. Vtg Vakko Suede, Royal Bl, Size: 10 Stunning! Softest kid suede dress. Royal blue with leather wide corset band at waist. Slim Pencil skirt long sleeves Bustly peplum at the low cut open back. A suede band at the back of the neck. Fully Lined. Shoulder pads inside lining. The suede and leather is of the very high quality which Vakko is known for. CONDITION: Excellent condition with very minor fading at the left seam, probably where it was exposed to light in it's former closet. Also one dark spot on the back. Also, the lining is discolored in some areas from the former wearer's body. LABEL: Vakko, made USA SIZE: Marked size 10, BUT it fits much smaller. Fits like a modern smallish size 4. PLEASE see measurements provided and compare to a similar garment of your own, allow an inch or so for differences in measuring techniques. Vtg Scarlet Q Beaded Halt, Multi, Size: Large fabulous sequined halter gown in the style of the 1920s in the colors of a dark mermaid. The dress has a straight dropped waist silhouette with a gather and slit at one side embellished with a sequined flower. the halter neck has two strong hook and eyes and those are the only closures. The beaded layer is silk and it's fully lined in rayon. This dress would be so perfect for a Great Gatsby themed formal event. It's in perfect condition but the fit must be given some careful consideration. I tried it on, I am size 8-10, 136lbs, 5'5, 38-30-41 It was too long in the bodice for me. a little too big in the cup area Also too tight in the hips and seat. but too big in the waist. The open back has a straight across top edge, it's a little gathered but doesnt really hug the body. Here are the flat measurements: armpit to armpit: 18 waist area: 19 hip: 20 length from the back of the neck to the hem: 58 It might need some work by your seamstress to tailor it perfectly for you.
